Vegetarians don’t eat meat or fish. Some of them believe it is wrong to kill animals for food. Others believe it is not healthy to eat meat. Most vegetarians would eat eggs, milk, cheese and yogurt, but some wouldn’t eat any food that comes from animals.
Many vegetarians are very healthy, because they eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. These have many vitamins, and they are good for health. Fruit and vegetables also have very little fat. Fat is bad for one’s heart. Meat has a lot of fat, so people who eat too much meat may have more chances to have heart problems than vegetarian.
