篇名: 2008/10/07的日記
作者: Macchiatto 日期: 2008.10.07 天氣: 心情:
There are 87 days till 2009.

Butterflies and moths are very much alike, but we can still tell them apart. First of all, butterflies, in general, are brighter in color than moths, although some moths can be as bright and beautiful as any butterfly. Second, butterflies are active during the day, while most moths are active only at night and are easily attracted by lights.

Butterflies and moths are different in other ways, too. Moths have bodies which are thicker and more hairy. Both have two pairs of wings. But a moth at rest usually folds its front wings back upon its hind ones. A resting butterfly keeps its wings full and erect. A butterfly, like a moth, has two antennae on its head. The tips of a butterfly’s antennae are slightly enlarged. The tips of a moth’s antennae are not -- some moths’ antennae have featherlike plumes but they never have enlarge tips.
