HCM City-HCM City's concerted efforts in the last three months seem to have paid off, said the municipal People's Committee Chairman Lr Thanh Hai.
The city's gross domestic product (GDP) reached nearyly VND 110 trillion (US$ 6.92 billion) in teh 3-rd quarter an increase of 11.5 % in GDP since the beginning of this year.
Retail and service sectors, from Jan. to Sept., experienced higher-than-expected growth, earning 11.3 % more than during last year's first three quarters.
