There is a simple but inspiring story from one of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books; a man finds a wallet containing a Dear John letter dated 1924. He goes to great lengths to track down the writer of the letter, a woman named Hannah. Finally, he finds her, in a nursing home, and she tells him that she is still in love with Michael, the recipient of the letter. By a miraculous coincidence, the man then discovers that Michael is right there in the same nursing home – and that he is still in love with Hannah. Shortly after their reunion, the two old-timers, in their late 60s, get married and, it seems, are ready to live happily ever after.
