When it comes to gender, most of us can appreciate that men and women are different. Indeed, it is generally believed that men and women are completely different kinds of human beings. Some say women are made of water, whereas men are made of clay. Others say men are from Mars, women are from Venus. Is this really true? Do men and women really think and act in such opposite ways? Or are these differences based merely on stereotypes? To answer this last question, let’s examine first just what stereotypes are.
