Who talks more? Men or women? People normally believe that women talk more than men, but more and more studies suggest that this is not true. Men have been shown to talk more than women, especially in staff meetings, television discussions and husband-and-wife conversations. One study even showed that, when asked to describe a picture, men took on average 13 minutes per picture, while women took 3.17 minutes per picture. In addition, men and women tend to talk about different topics. Men, for example, like to talk about sports, politics and cars, while women are likely to talk about children and personal relationships.
