Many of us face “burnout” at some point in our lives. It can be prevented, however, if you take action before you place yourself at risk.
First, you must decide what is really important in your life, and make time for the people and activities most meaningful to you. You can share your feeling with others as well: express your frustrations, disappointments, and painful experiences, as well as joys and accomplishments. Make sure you have time off. Take short breaks as well as regular vacations, whether you feel you need them or not. Find activities to fill and elevate your spirit, such as music, dance, sports, massage, or meditation. And schedule time to be alone sometimes.
Seek the right doctor if you need help and all else has failed. There is no shame in this, and it may be what you need to restore your spiritual well-being.
