Almost none of the people around me that I know realize or try to understand the Middle East situation...the oppression of Palestinians by Israel, with the help of western powers, mainly US.
I feel sorry for the average American people, who have been for decades misinformed, misled, and brainwashed by government, media, and even religious leaders.
When armed French people fought occupying Germans in WW2, they're called Resistance Groups and heros.
When Palestanians fight Israel that took over and drove them out from the land they'd lived on for thousands of years, they're described as violent militans/ militias by the media. and US and UK provide advanced weapons with passion to Israel whose soldiers would not hesitate to fire at Palestinian civilians who shout, protest or throw stones at them.
One person speaks out though...former President Carter. He is a brave man.
