ever since i said good-bye to chesse cakes i essentially had said good-bye to all cakes, for what good would a cake be if it's not a cheese cake?
i was loyal and faithful to cheese cakes like i would to a lover
one day a month ago i ordered a light set lunch: main course, iced lemon tea and some token desert
i was hungry so i asked for the desert while waiting for the main course
"o lord, what is this thing?" i was totally surprised by what's melting in my mouth...a spoonful of something darkish...it's warm, soft but firm and not spongy, rich and pleasantly sweet but not greasy
"American Brownie, topped with chocolate sauce, served warm," the waitress told me
"gosh, this is better than cheese cakes! hadn't i had it before? why didn't i know it's this good? has my taste improved or what?" i was wondering almost in awe
