Paul Tudor Jones was one of the top fund managers 25 years ago. Elliot Wave Principle was one of his major trading tools. Those days, the market just unfolded like the Wave Theory said it would.
Over time the market went astray...from the Wave Theory. Wave validity has diminished.
But Jones...he has remained one of the best traders and fund managers.
I bet he still looks at the waves but is definitely not trading the wave way.
When what used to work stops working, find something else that will.
Many people have heated argument over which is the more superior method to trade stocks and commodities. That only demonstrates stubbornness, pride, and the need to be right, not intelligence and flexibility.
While you may not want to throw the umbrella away when the rain stops, at least put it aside and wear a hat or something for the sun.
