I randomly grabbed a book before going to a coffee shop and glanced through it while having my snack. That's the coffee shop where I had this hi-fibre cheese cake.
It was written by John Hill 30 years ago. Somebody gave me a copy of the book as a present in 1989. I studied it in great detail and my notes and comments were found all over the book.
In the coffee shop, I went over the section on how daily trading volume would be like before and after stock market tops. Lo and behold, it described exactly how Dow would behave since last month.
Since a few weeks ago, I'd look at the Dow chart in the evening and "predict" how the market would act. It sure unfolded like how John Hill said it would.
What John Hill said in his book is considered nowadays as old and common knowledge.
But human behavior patterns rarely change. Old wisdom still holds.
