The Kohathites
第四章 Numbers 4
1.耶和華曉諭摩西、亞倫說：
The LORD said to Moses and Aaron:
2.「你從利未人中，將哥轄子孫的總數，照他們的家室、宗族，
「Take a census of the Kohathite branch of the Levites by their clans and families.
3.從三十歲直到五十歲，凡前來任職、在會幕裏辦事的，全部計算。
Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting.
4.哥轄子孫在會幕搬運至聖之物，所辦的事乃是這樣：
「This is the work of the Kohathites at the tent of meeting: the care of the most holy things.
5.起營的時候，亞倫和他兒子要進去摘下遮掩櫃的幔子，用以蒙蓋法櫃，
When the camp is to move, Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain and put it over the ark of the covenant law.
6.又用海狗皮蓋在上頭，再蒙上純藍色的毯子，把槓穿上。
Then they are to cover the curtain with a durable leather,[a] spread a cloth of solid blue over that and put the poles in place.
7.又用藍色毯子鋪在陳設餅的桌子上，將盤子、調羹、奠酒的爵，和杯擺在上頭。桌子上也必有常設的餅。
「Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and put on it the plates, dishes and bowls, and the jars for drink offerings; the bread that is continually there is to remain on it.
8.在其上又要蒙朱紅色的毯子，再蒙上海狗皮，把槓穿上。
They are to spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover that with the durable leather and put the poles in place.
9.要拿藍色毯子，把燈臺和燈臺上所用的燈盞、剪子、蠟花盤，並一切盛油的器皿，全都遮蓋。
「They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand that is for light, together with its lamps, its wick trimmers and trays, and all its jars for the olive oil used to supply it.
10.又要把燈臺和燈臺的一切器具包在海狗皮裏，放在擡架上。
Then they are to wrap it and all its accessories in a covering of the durable leather and put it on a carrying frame.
11.在金壇上要鋪藍色毯子，蒙上海狗皮，把槓穿上。
「Over the gold altar they are to spread a blue cloth and cover that with the durable leather and put the poles in place.
12.又要把聖所用的一切器具包在藍色毯子裏，用海狗皮蒙上，放在擡架上。
「They are to take all the articles used for ministering in the sanctuary, wrap them in a blue cloth, cover that with the durable leather and put them on a carrying frame.
13.要收去壇上的灰，把紫色毯子鋪在壇上；
「They are to remove the ashes from the bronze altar and spread a purple cloth over it.
14.又要把所有的一切器具，就是火鼎、肉鍤子、鏟子、盤子，一切屬壇的器具都擺在壇上，又蒙上海狗皮，把槓穿上。
Then they are to place on it all the utensils used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans, meat forks, shovels and sprinkling bowls. Over it they are to spread a covering of the durable leather and put the poles in place.
15.將要起營的時候，亞倫和他兒子把聖所和聖所的一切器具遮蓋完了，哥轄的子孫就要來擡，只是不可摸聖物，免得他們死亡。會幕裏這些物件是哥轄子孫所當擡的。
「After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy furnishings and all the holy articles, and when the camp is ready to move, only then are the Kohathites to come and do the carrying. But they must not touch the holy things or they will die. The Kohathites are to carry those things that are in the tent of meeting.
16.祭司亞倫的兒子以利亞撒所要看守的是點燈的油與香料，並當獻的素祭和膏油，也要看守全帳幕與其中所有的，並聖所和聖所的器具。」
「Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, is to have change of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the regular grain offering and the anointing oil. He is to be in charge of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including its holy furnishings and articles.」
17.耶和華曉諭摩西、亞倫說：
The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
18.「你們不可將哥轄人的支派從利未人中剪除。
「See that the Kohathite tribal clans are not destroyed from among the Levites.
19.他們挨近至聖物的時候，亞倫和他兒子要進去派他們各人所當辦的，所當擡的。這樣待他們，好使他們活著，不致死亡。
So that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go into the sanctuary and assign to each man his work and what he is to carry.
20.只是他們連片時不可進去觀看聖所，免得他們死亡。」
But the Kohathites must not go in to look at the holy things, even for a moment, or they will die.」 |
