the then former president ford was once invited as a speaker by the graduate school i went to.
one thing i remember fondly of was the spring and autumn times in sunny arizona. the temperature would be just right for many things like weddings and ceremonoies to be held outdoors.
the speech was delivered outdoor on a lawn. he praised the school and said there should've been more schools like ours, especially in view of the consistent heavy US trade imbalance. the school was one specializing in nothing but international business.
then he started talking about international affairs. somewhere he mentioned the term "unilateral agreement" but quickly corrected himself by saying "bilateral agreement", adding, "well, there's no such thing as a unilateral agreement, is there?"
