第一章 Numbers 1
1.以色列人出埃及地後，第二年二月初一日，耶和華在西乃的曠野、會幕中曉諭摩西說：
The LORD spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the Desert of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. He said:
2.「你要按以色列全會眾的家室、宗族、人名的數目計算所有的男丁。
「Take a census of the whole Israelite community by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one.
3.凡以色列中，從二十歲以外，能出去打仗的，你和亞倫要照他們的軍隊數點。
You and Aaron are to count according to their divisions all the men in Israel who are twenty years old or more and able to serve in the army.
4.每支派中必有一人作本支派的族長，幫助你們。
One man from each tribe, each of them the head of his family, it to help you.
5.他們的名字：屬流便的，有示丟珥的兒子以利蓿；
These are the names of the men who are to assist you: from Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;
6.屬西緬的，有蘇利沙代的兒子示路蔑；
from Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;
7.屬猶大的，有亞米拿達的兒子拿順；
from Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;
8.屬以薩迦的，有蘇押的兒子拿坦業；
from Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar;
9.屬希布倫的，有希倫的兒子以利押；
from Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon;
10.約瑟子孫、屬以法蓮的，有亞米忽的兒子以利沙瑪；屬瑪拿西的，有比大蓿的兒子迦瑪列；
from the sons of Joseph: from Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud; from Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;
11.屬便雅憫的，有基多尼的兒子亞比但；
from Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni;
12.屬但的，有亞米沙代的兒子亞希以謝；
from Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;
13.屬亞設的，有俄蘭的兒子帕結；
from Asher, Pagiel son of Okran;
14.屬迦得的，有丟珥的兒子以利雅薩；
from Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel;
15.屬拿弗他利的，有以南的兒子亞希拉。
from Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan.」
16.這都是從會中選召的，各作本支派的首領，都是以色列軍中的統領。」
These were the men appointed from the community, the leaders of their ancestral tribes. They were the heads of the clans of Israel.
17.於是，摩西、亞倫帶著這些按名指定的人，
Moses and Aaron took these men whose names had been specified,
18.當二月初一日招聚全會眾。會眾就照他們的家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外的，都述說自己的家譜。
and they called the whole community together on the first day of the second month. The people registered their ancestry by their clans and families, and the men twenty years old or more were listed by name, one by one,
19.耶和華怎樣吩咐摩西，他就怎樣在西乃的曠野數點他們。
as the LORD commanded Moses. And so he counted them in the Desert of Sinai:
20.21.以色列的長子，流便子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的男丁，共有四萬六千五百名。
From the descendants of Reuben the firstborn son of Israel: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, one by one, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Reuben was 46,500.
22.23.西緬子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的男丁，共有五萬九千三百名。
From the descendants of Simeon: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were counted and listed by name, one by one, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Simeon was 59,300.
24.25.迦得子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有四萬五千六百五十名。
From the descendants of Gad: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Gad was 45,650.
26.27.猶大子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有七萬四千六百名。
From the descendants of Judah: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Judah was 74,600.
28.29.以薩迦子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有五萬四千四百名。
From the descendants of Issachar: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Issachar was 54,400.
30.31.西布倫子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有五萬七千四百名。
From the descendants of Zebulun: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Zebulun was 57,400.
32.33.約瑟子孫屬以法蓮子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有四萬零五百名。
From the sons of Joseph: From the descendants of Ephraim: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Ephraim was 40,500.
34.35.瑪拿西子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有三萬二千二百名。
From the descendants of Manasseh: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Manasseh was 32,200.
36.37.便雅憫子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有三萬五千四百名。
From the descendants of Benjamin: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Benjamin was 35,400.
38.39.但子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有六萬二千七百名。
From the descendants of Dan: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Dan was 62,700.
40.41.亞設子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有四萬一千五百名。
From the descendants of Asher: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Asher was 41,500.
42.43.拿弗他利子孫的後代，照著家室、宗族、人名的數目，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有五萬三千四百名。
From the descendants of Naphtali: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
The number from the tribe of Naphtali was 53,400.
44.這些就是被數點的，是摩西、亞倫，和以色列中十二個首領所數點的；這十二個人各作各宗族的代表。
These were the men counted by Moses and Aaron and the twelve leaders of Israel, each one representing his family.
45.46.這樣，凡以色列人中被數的，照著宗族，從二十歲以外，凡能出去打仗、被數的，共有六十萬零三千五百五十名。
All the Israelites twenty years old or more who were able to serve in Israel’s army were counted according to their families.
