  Regulations About Defiling Skin Diseases

 第十三章 Leviticus 13
 1.耶和華曉諭摩西、亞倫說:
The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
2.「人的肉皮上若長了癤子,或長了癬,或長了火斑,在他肉皮上成了大痲瘋的災病,就要將他帶到祭司亞倫或亞倫作祭司的一個子孫面前。
「When anyone has a swelling or a rash or a shiny spot on their skin that may be a defiling skin disease,[a] they must be brought to Aaron the priest or one of his sons[b] who is a priest.
Footnotes:
a. Leviticus 13:2 The Hebrew word for defiling skin disease, traditionally translated 「leprosy,」 was used for various diseases affecting the skin; here and throughout verses 3-46.
b. Leviticus 13:2 Or descendants
3.祭司要祭看肉皮上的災病,若災病處的毛已經變白,災病的現象深於肉上的皮,這便是大痲瘋的災病。祭司要察看他,定他為不潔淨。
The priest is to examine the sore on the skin, and if the hair in the sore has turned white and the sore appears to be more than skin deep, it is a defiling skin disease. When the priest examines that person, he shall pronounce them ceremonially unclean.
4.若火斑在他皮肉上是白的,現象不深於皮,其上的毛也沒有變白,祭司就要將有災病的人關鎖七天。
If the shiny spot on the skin is white but does not appear to be more than skin deep and the hair in it has not turned white, the priest is to isolate the affected person for seven days.
5.第七天,祭司要察看他,若看災病止住了,沒有在皮上發散,祭司還要將他關鎖七天。
On the seventh day the priest is to examine them, and if he sees that the sore is unchanged and has not spread in the skin, he is to isolate them for another seven days.
6.第七天,祭司要在察看他,若災病發暗,而且沒有在皮上發散,祭司要定他為潔淨,原來是癬;那人就要洗衣服,得為潔淨。
On the seventh day the priest is to examine them again, and if the sore has faded and has not spread in the skin, the priest shall pronounce them clean; it is only a rash. They must wash their clothes, and they will be clean.
7.但他為得潔淨,將身體給祭司察看以後,癬若在皮上發散開了,他要再將身體給祭司察看。
But if the rash does spread in their skin after they have shown themselves to the priest to be pronounced clean, they must appear before the priest again.
8.祭司要察看,癬若在皮上發散,就要定他為不潔淨,是大痲瘋。
The priest is to examine that person, and if the rash has spread in the skin, he shall pronounce them unclean; it is a defiling skin disease.
9.人有了大痲瘋的災病,就要將他帶到祭司面前。
「When anyone has a defiling skin disease, they must be brought to the priest.
10.祭司要察看,皮上若長了白癤,使毛變白,在長白癤之處有了紅瘀肉,
The priest is to examine them, and if there is a white swelling in the skin that has turned the hair white and if there is raw flesh in the swelling,
11.這是皮肉上的舊大痲瘋,祭司要定他為不潔淨,不用將他關鎖,因為他是不潔淨了。
it is a chronic skin disease and the priest shall pronounce them unclean He is not to isolate them, because they are already unclean.
12.大痲瘋若是在皮上四外發散,長滿了患災病人的皮,據祭司察看,從頭到腳無處不有,
「If the disease breaks out all over their skin and, so far as the priest can see, it covers all the skin of the affected person from head to foot,
13.祭司就要察看,全身的肉若長滿了大痲瘋,就要定那患災病的為潔淨;全身都變為白,他乃潔淨了。
the priest is to examine them, and if the disease has covered their whole body, he shall pronounce them clean. Since it has all turned white, they are clean.
14.但紅肉幾時顯在他的身上就幾時不潔淨。
But whenever raw flesh appears on them, they will be unclean.
15.祭司一看那紅肉就定他為不潔淨。紅肉本是不潔淨,是大痲瘋。
When the priest sees the raw flesh, he shall pronounce them unclean. The raw flesh is unclean; they have a defiling disease.
16.紅肉若復原,又變白了,他就要來見祭司。
If the raw flesh changes and turns white, they must go to the priest.
17.祭司要察看,災病處若變白了,祭司就要定那患災病的為潔淨,他乃潔淨了。
The priest is to examine them, and if the sores have turned white, the priest shall pronounce the affected person clean; then they will be clean.
18.人若在皮肉上長瘡,卻治好了,
「When someone has a boil on their skin and it heals,
19.在長瘡之處又起了白癤,或是白中帶紅的火斑,就要給祭司察看。
and in the place where the boil was, a white swelling or reddish-white spot appears, they must present themselves to the priest.
20.祭司要察看,若現象窪於皮,其上的毛也變白了,就要定他為不潔淨,是大痲瘋的災病發在瘡中。
The priest is to examine it, and if it appears to be more than skin deep and the hair in it has turned white, the priest shall pronounce that person unclean. It is a defiling skin disease that has broken out where the boil was.
21.祭司若察看,其上沒有白毛,也沒有窪於皮,乃是發暗,就要將他關鎖七天。
But if, when the priest examines it, there is no white hair in it and it is not more than skin deep and has faded, then the priest is to isolate them for seven days.
22.若在皮上發散開了,祭司就要定他為不潔淨,是災病。
If it is spreading in the skin, the priest shall pronounce them unclean; it is a defiling disease.
23.火斑若在原處止住,沒有發散,便是瘡的痕跡,祭司就要定他為潔淨。
But if the spot is unchanged and has not spread, it is only a scar from the boil, and the priest shall pronounce them clean.
24.人的皮肉上若起了火毒,火毒的瘀肉成了火斑,或是白中帶紅的,或是全白的,
「When someone has a burn on their skin and a reddish-white or white spot appears in the raw flesh of the burn,
25.祭司就要察看,火斑中的毛若變白了,現象又深於皮,是大痲瘋在火毒中發出,就要定他為不潔淨,是大痲瘋的災病。
the priest is to examine the spot, and if the hair in it has turned white, and it appears to be more than skin deep, it is a defiling disease that has broken out in the burn. The priest shall pronounce them unclean; it is a defiling skin disease.
26.但是祭司察看,在火斑中若沒有白毛,也沒有窪於皮,乃是發暗,就要將他關鎖七天。
But if the priest examines it and there is no white hair in the spot and if it is not more than skin deep and has faded, then the priest is to isolate them for seven days.
27.到第七天,祭司要察看他,火斑若在皮上發散開了,就要定他為不潔淨,是大痲瘋的災病。
On the seventh day the priest is to examine that person, and if it is spreading in the skin, the priest shall pronounce them unclean; it is a defiling skin disease.
28.火斑若在原處止住,沒有在皮上發散,乃是發暗,是起的火毒,祭司要定他為潔淨,不過是火毒的痕跡。
If, however, the spot is unchanged and has not spread in the skin but has faded, it is a swelling from the burn, and the priest shall pronounce them clean; it is only a scar from the burn.
29.無論男女,若在頭上有災病,或是男人鬍鬚上有災病,
「If a man or woman has a sore on their head or chin,
30.祭司就要察看;這災病現象若深於皮,其間有細黃毛,就要定他為不潔淨,這是頭疥,是頭上或是鬍鬚上的大痲瘋。
the priest is to examine the sore, and if it appears to be more than skin deep and the hair in it is yellow and thin, the priest shall pronounce them unclean; it is a defiling skin disease on the head or chin.
31.祭司若察看頭疥的災病,現象不深於皮,其間也沒有黑毛,就要將長頭疥災病的關鎖七天。
But if, when the priest examines the sore, it does not seem to be more than skin deep and there is no black hair in it, then the priest is to isolate the affected person for seven days.
32.第七天,祭司要察看災病,若頭疥沒有發散,其間也沒有黃毛,頭疥的現象不深於皮,
On the seventh day the priest is to examine the sore, and if it has not spread and there is no yellow hair in it and it does not appear to be more than skin deep,
33.那人就要剃去鬚髮,但他不可剃頭疥之處。祭司要將那長頭疥的,再關鎖七天。
then the man or woman must shave themselves, except for the affected area, and the priest is to keep them isolated another seven days.
34.第七天,祭司要察看頭疥,頭疥若沒有在皮上發散,現象也不深於皮,就要定他為潔淨,他要洗衣服,變成為潔淨。
On the seventh day the priest is to examine the sore, and if it has not spread in the skin and appears to be no more than skin deep, the priest shall pronounce them clean. They must wash their clothes, and they will be clean.
35.但他得潔淨以後,頭疥若在皮上發散開了,
But if the sore does spread in the skin after they are pronounced clean,
36.祭司就要察看他。頭疥若在皮上發散,就不必找那黃毛,他是不潔淨了。
the priest is to examine them, and if he finds that the sore has spread in the skin, he does not need to look for yellow hair; they are unclean.
37.祭司若看頭疥已經止住,其間也長了黑毛,頭疥已然痊癒,那人是潔淨了,就要定他為潔淨。
If, however, the sore is unchanged so far as the priest can see, and if black hair has grown in it, the affected person is healed. They are clean, and the priest shall pronounce them clean.
38.無論男女,皮肉上若起了火斑,就是白火斑,
「When a man or woman has white spots on the skin,
39.祭司就要察看,他們皮肉上的火斑若白中帶黑,這是皮上發出的白癬,那人是潔淨了。
the priest is to examine them, and if the spots are dull white, it is a harmless rash that has broken out on the skin; they are clean.
40.人頭上的髮若掉了,他不過是頭禿,還是潔淨。
「A man who has lost his hair and is bald is clean.
41.他頂前若掉了頭髮,他不過是頂門禿,還是潔淨。
If he has lost his hair from the front of his scalp and has a bald forehead, he is clean.
42.頭禿處或是頂門禿處若有白中帶紅的災病,這就是大痲瘋發在他頭禿處或是頂門禿處,
But if he has a reddish-white sore on his bald head or forehead, it is a defiling disease breaking out on his head or forehead.
43.祭司就要察看,他起的那災病若在頭禿處或是頂門禿處有白中帶紅的,像肉皮上大痲瘋的現象,
The priest is to examine him, and if the swollen sore on his head or forehead is reddish-white like a defiling skin disease,
44.那人就是長大痲瘋,不潔淨的,祭司總要定他為不潔淨,他的災病是在頭上。
the man is diseased and is unclean. The priest shall pronounce him unclean because of the sore on his head.
45.身上有長大痲瘋災病的,他的衣服要撕裂,也要蓬頭散髮,蒙著上唇,喊叫說:『不潔淨了!不潔淨了!』
「Anyone with such a defiling disease must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt,[c] cover the lower part of their face and cry out, 『Unclean! Unclean!』
Footnotes:

any woven or knitted material of linen or wool, any leather or anything made of leather-

54.祭司就要吩咐他們,把染了災病的物件洗了,在關鎖七天。
he shall order that the spoiled article be washed. Then he is to isolate it for another seven days.
55.洗過以後,祭司要察看,那物件若沒有變色,災病也沒有消散,那物件就不潔淨,是透重的災病,無論正面反面,都要在火中焚燒。
After the article has been washed, the priest is to examine it again, and if the mold has not changed its appearance, even though it has not spread, it is unclean. Burn it, no matter which side of fabric has been spoiled.
56.洗過以後,祭司要察看,若見那災病發暗,他就要把那災病從衣服上,皮子上,經上、緯上,都撕去。
