he'd tell the person behind the counter what he wanted, i'd then say "make it two". it sure was a useful phrase. had learned it from a movie
on the way we had to stop over at a city called Sioux Falls. at one point i asked the bus driver "how many more hours are we away from Siuks Falls?"
"from where?" he asked
"S-i-u-k-s Falls," i repeated, saying it as clearly as i could
he paused a while and said "oh, Su Falls..."
Sioux is the name of a native American tribe and is read as "Su". it's French
naming an American tribe with French? Sioux, Su... now who on earth, well, who from Asia would know a thing like that and whatever happened to "x", let me ask you!
