in some parts of New Zealand, "mouse" is read as "moose", like in "roulette".
there's this New Zealander who went to Canada and for the first time saw a moose which is a king sized deer with huge antlers that would not hesitate to charge into a bear when threatened.
"what is that?" he asked his Canadian friend. "it's a moose."
shocked, he said, "if that's a mouse, where is the cat?"
