a year ago US was caught doing it itself, with leaders either claiming they weren't aware of it or those were isolated cases, only to be proven later that it had been brought to their attention but ignored, and that the abuse was much more wide spread.
and it was only discovered last week that CIA keeps secret prisons overseas for jailing and torturing terror related suspects.
