He and the scandal made the public wake up and fed up with wrong doings, cover-ups, and lies by elected officials. People got sick and tired of dirty politics, tricks, and plots.
South Dakota Senator McGovern, who had lost to Nixon in the presidential election, said Nixon ironically had achieved exactly what he himself wanted to achieve had he been the president.
History repeats, this time, in a foreign land...Taiwan.
But the Congress in Taiwan looks more like a kindergarten. Can't expect much from confused and fun-loving kids that still need baby-sitting.
What about opposition parties? Better forget it!
Media power and people power will have to play an important role in saving Taiwan from going down the drain.
