A pleasant walk is very important to me.
By that I mean a pleasant walk in the neighborhood where I live, not in a park or some busy districts.
And when I say neighborhood, I don't mean a few streets or a few blocks only. It has to be bigger than that.
To me, for a walk to be pleasant, the neighborhood has to be tidy and clean, safe, somewhat spacious, not too noisy or having too much traffic, but neither too dead quiet like in all residential areas in US or Canada. And of course there should be sidewalks that are wide and clean.
I've lived in many places before: Taipei, Tainan, Hwalien, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, US and Canada. None of them have neighborhoods in which I could enjoy a pleasant walk.
But finally I found one, and that's where I choose to live now.
