it's about 5 in the afternoon. as i'm writing now, i'm also watching a tv special report. the plane that Lien travels on has just arrived in Nan-Jing airpor.
the cabin door not open yet...well, now Mr and Mrs Lien have appeared, waving, smiling and walking down the plane...
it's about time, about time to erase the hostility between Mainland and Taiwan.
it has been only some leaders on both sides that have been hostile to each other in the last half century. the rest on both sides have been brainwashed or forced to hate the other regime.
much remains to be done and it's gonna take many years. but it's nice to see the process has begun.
it also reminds me of the evening in US, 3 decades ago (gosh, am i that old already?), when i witnessed, live on tv, the historic moment of President Nixon's visit to PRC...the cabin door opened, he appeared, with a broad smile...
