the american public would oppose the war in iraq only if there are heavy american casualties. but a war should be opposed if it's fought for the wrong cause, and not because heavy casualties have been incurred.
success feeds the appetite of aggression. that can be said of hitler and japan in ww2. but doesn't it apply equally well to the bush administration, that they were and still are thinking of invading syria, iran and north korea after the success in iraq?
while the invasion of iraq was a military success, it has been a big step backward for world peace.
as for iraqis, while saddam the dictator has been removed, a bigger bully, the coalition force led by US, has taken over.
why doesn't US remove other tyrannies in the world, some right next to iraq, like the one in saudi arabia?
