today is a great day...
oops...while i was typing....i should considered the day as yesterday...haha
anyway,
i wanted to buy a scanner desperately...
i went online and posted a thread ....
enquiring if anyone has a secondhand scanner...
withing 2 days,
a man replied saying that he had one though...
i was elated...
we arranged a day to meet up ...
i went to the meeting place after i worked...
yet...
after waiting for half an hour ...
with multiple messages and phone calls...
nobody picked up the phone...
disappointed and betrayed, i felt cheated...
i hate people who break their promises....
surprisingly,
later at night,
he called and apologised saying that he forgot to bring his cellphone while he went out...
i was a little fierce and angry in the phone, (i think he could sense it)
he felt sorry about it ....
i still wanted the scanner badly....
i decided to let go of the unhappy incident
Luckily i did so.....
three days later, which was yersterday....
i went to the fast food restaurant,
he texted me ....
he was late again....
neermind, that s not the point...
fortunately, he showed up and ....
i got my scanner....
it is still in good condition...
though....
through the stickers, i can see that it is indeed a secondhand scanner.
oops...correction...
maybe thirdhand....
a little disappointed...yet ...
i felt that it is still better than nothing....
i guess quality is better than the number of "hands" that it had passed through...
My nightmare did not end here....
the scanner could not installed in my laptop ,
i am using vista still by the way...
searching for articles and solutions online...
after installing and uninstalling for many times...
largely due to my poor understanding of instructions....
finally, successfully,
after 4 hours,
at 1:28 am,
i fix it, man !
