Amazing Grace,非常知名的基督教聖詩,英國牧師John Newton於1779年的作品,原作曲者已不可考,據研究應與18世紀蘇格蘭的非宗教歌曲有關,目前的樂譜則是由美國福音詩歌作曲家Edwin O.Excell改編而成.Amazing Grace當時被廣泛使用於整個英倫三島,之後隨著移民進入了美洲新大陸,成為美國民間慶典活動的最主要曲目音樂,由於在美國黑人教會相當流行,因此經常被誤認為是美國傳統歌謠或黑人靈歌.
有些朋友喜歡的是Hayley Westenra演唱的版本,我個人則是傾向於IL DIVO,因為...嘿嘿~都是帥哥嘛...除此之外,最吸引我的是間奏時的風笛音韻,感覺很美...依蘇格蘭人的習俗,在重要的節慶裡,吹奏風笛是最基本的配備,而且必須穿著正規的傳統服飾,最最最重要的是,傳統的蘇格蘭裙裡...沒有內褲.[:%%]
說來挺妙的,我個人其實並沒有特別的宗教信仰,但是每當心情沉悶的時候,這首歌竟然能夠穩定我的情緒...年輕的時候,家人只要看到我坐在鋼琴前不斷的彈著這首歌,如果沒有意外,絕對不會有人來吵我,因為..."ㄟ掃到風颱尾"(台語).[;-)]
