Watched an interview of a guy who does research on trends. He says:
1
All empires eventually crumble: Roman Empire... Great Britain, Soviet Union, and now it's USA. (In history, when empires decline, they decline rapidly.)
2
Among industrialized nations, US has the widest gap between rich and poor: 10% of people control 90% of assets. "Too big to fail. Too small to succeed."
3
Unemployment at 9.5% due to data collection flaws. It's actually 17.5% and going higher.
4
Recovery so far is a cover-up: bail-outs. No Great Recession. No double dip either. It'd be The Greatest Depression.
5
Globalization & deregulation are bad. Social unrests and even wars are coming.
6
Best part: All the above not inevitable.
