Description: Second wine of Chateau Giscours, predominantly containing grapes
of Cabernet Sauvignon (53%), Merlot (42%) and the remainder
cabernet franc and petit verdot
Vintage: 2001
Tasting Notes: Presenting a good depth of colour on inspection, lovely appearance,
dark and glossy however not quite with the intensity of 2000 though
but the price is the plus.
It presents a firm, masculine character on the nose, with traces of nutty
oak and berries.
It is elegance on the palate, preminent structure and nicely rounded
edges, a ripe, creamy depth of fruity taste with a little taste of nutty oak
and a little toffee raspberry finishing.
It is showing little tannin, it is smooth to drink and prefectly aged showing
the full potential of the wine and it worth of the value.
